Constructed for longevity and adaptability, Eagle stainless steel metric tubing seamlessly aligns with worldwide specifications. Our tubing can be employed in the manufacture of furniture or production of vehicle components and outside constructions, as it is resistant to rust, chemical action, and extreme temperatures. It is produced in both metric and imperial measurements and uses either 304 or 316L grade of stainless steel.

Product Overview
According to the specifications of ASTM A270, the tubing is designed with seamless stainless steel sanitary tubing. The tubing comes with a polished and bright – annealed finish, the quality of which is guaranteed for a smooth internal surface as opposed to sticking of products. All tubes indicate their heating numbers for the purpose of material tracking which is important in any case whether the industry manufactures food processing machines or other constructions. The best option in the case of metal structures operation is to use 304 when renovating food processing machines, while other industries will need to choose 316L which is much better in contacting salt water and has outstanding pitting resistance due to molybdenum content. The tubing being supplied is available in different sizes ranging from 100 mm to 6000 mm.

How does 304 differ from 316L?
316L stainless steel includes molybdenum in the mix, which greatly enhances its resistance to the pitting corrosion caused by seawater, pool chemicals, and industrial conditions. It is a good idea to use 316L on coastal sites or marine applications, as well as in the chemicals industry. 304 stainless steel is highly recommended for various indoor and outdoor projects, as it is resistant to rainwater, humidity, and fine oils and is more economical than the other options.
Can I use a pipe bender on this tubing?
Certainly! To give you clear and smooth curves, a manual tube bender that has dies fitted to the external diameter of the tube must be used. For thinner-walled pipes (0.065" wall thickness), one needs either to use a mandrel type of tube bender or fill in the pipe with dry, fine sand in order to support the inner wall while bending is taking place. A steady and continuous speed must be maintained throughout the process, as if one stops in the middle of the procedure, the stainless steel may become hard and tough to deform.
Can I weld this tubing with a standard MIG or TIG setup?
Indeed. For 304 tubes, one should apply 308L wire filler material. For 316L tubes, the correct usage is 316L wire filler to keep the weld zone corrosion resistance. Minimal preparation is required for the bright annealed surface — clean the joint area with acetone, perform the welding operation, and there’s no need for sanding thanks to the polished finishing. Orbital welding gives the best results in terms of smooth weld inside the tube in case of using food or sanitary tubes.
