Product Overview
A 316L stainless steel fitting, the Eagle 90° Sanitary Tri-Clamp Elbow enables change in the direction of fluid flow, causing less turbulence than possible. This fitting has a smooth full-bore shape that prevents any trapping of bacteria. Its electropolished inner surface (Ra≤ 15μin) guarantees easy cleaning and good hygienic standards. The tri-clamp ends of the fitting allow installation by hand and fast changeover between the processes. Each piece is stamped with a heat lot number for traceability purposes and comes with 3-A certification and material test reports to comply with all relevant standards.

Applications & Industries
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this elbow suitable for steam‑in‑place (SIP) applications?
Sure, our electropolished 316L stainless steel withstands saturated steam at 250°F. We recommend EPDM or FKM gaskets as an ideal pairing that provides a tight seal despite repeated thermal cycling. Smooth radii keep condensate from pooling and causing water hammer.
Can I get this elbow in a 45° or 60° angle instead of 90°?
It is true that we provide specific angles between 15° and 90° while keeping the tri-clamp ends unchanged. The time needed for custom angles is quite brief and takes 5-7 working days. You can contact us with any specification regarding the size and angle.
What's the difference between 304 and 316L for this fitting?
316L includes molybdenum, giving good resistance to chlorides and acids. For applications involving beverages or dairy with minimal CIP chemicals, 304 can be used. However, for pharmaceutical, biotech, and other applications with a lot of salts, we recommend using 316L because it is also USP Class VI compliant.
How do I ensure a leak‑free seal with my existing gaskets?
Our tri clamp ferrules are manufactured in accordance with 3-A standard dimensional specifications (regular size ferrule ID). Use compatible gaskets such as EPDM, FKM or PTFE which have a shore hardness of about 70-80. We recommend 30-40 in-lbs for sizes of 1.5" and below and 50-60 in-lbs for larger size ferrules as over-tightening might change the shape of the gasket significantly.
