Product Overview
The Eagle 2" Sanitary Check Valve is a spring-operated flow control device made from solid 316L stainless steel. Within the valve itself, the disc rests on the polished seat. The disc gets raised by flow, allowing the liquid to flow through. The flow is stopped using a spring that applies force on the disc so that it goes back down to its seat, providing an immediate closure. The valve body is electropolished so bacteria or other contaminants have no room for survival. The valve has butt-weld ends, giving it strength to hold without seals or clamps. This valve is considered small, so that it easily fits into the pipes of homebrewing systems, yet is powerful enough to perform well under pressure, allowing handling of 5-15 gallon homebrew flows without any problems.

Key Advantages of Our 2" Sanitary Check Valve
What Real Users Are Saying
“The valve I use in my 10-gallon homebrew equipment allows me to move beer from the fermenter to the keg. There is no reverse flow at any time and the cleaning process is so quick you only have to rinse out the appliance briefly. The 316L steel means there is no rust – after 10 batches the valve is as good as new!” – Jake, Home Brewer.
"As a small batch producer of hot sauce, my greatest concern is cross-contamination. This valve is what keeps my habanero sauce and ghost pepper sauce apart—and compliance with the FDA puts my customers' minds at rest about the quality of my product." – Mia, Artisan Food Producer
"An ideal solution for my essential oil distillation system. The 2 inches size fitted my copper tubing and its one-way implementation prevents steam to travel back into the boiler. Mind you, it’s very easy to clean, made of 316L steel so it’s resistant to citric acids." - Liam, DIY addict

Applications & Industries
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this safe for raw milk or unpasteurized beer?
Indeed. The 316L stainless steel construction and 32Ra electropolished interior without crevices prevent the growth of bacteria, even when used with unpasteurized beer or raw milk. The valve is made in accordance with FDA CFR 21 standards. Therefore, no harmful substances leach into your product. For raw applications, make sure to dismantle it, clean, and sanitize it from one usage to another.
Can I use it with my existing tri-clamp setup?
The specific valve in question possesses butt-weld ends for an unremovable connection in a welded piping system. Eagle offers the same valve as a Tri-Clamp version for those needing a quick-release option that does not require welding. For more details regarding Tri-Clamp connections, contact our sales team.
How do I clean it?
Take apart the valve; wash it with hot water, or send it through washing machine. The 32Ra electropolished surface allows for easy release from any residue, which means that most cleaning is simple rinsing. Use a food-grade sanitizer if needed for deeper cleaning or when switching between raw product batches. There is no need for scrubbing, and no equipment needs to be purchased beyond what you have.
What if it doesn't fit my pipe?
We provide a policy for returns. If the 2-inch valve fails to function properly in your system, please return it for a full refund. Eagle also sells this sanitary check valve and offers sizes ranging from 1/2 to 4 inches; just speak with our sales department to find the measurement that's right for your tubing.
