Eagle 1" Sanitary Plain Bevel Seat Rubber Hose Adapter
The 1" Plain Bevel Seat Rubber Hose Adapter is a hygienically engineered component used for connecting a 1-inch hose to sanitary equipment. Made from high-quality 304 or 316L stainless steel, it is suitable for use in food, pharmaceutical and brewing industries as it meets top hygiene standards, providing an anti-corrosion characteristic. Thanks to the bevel seat shape, it can form a leak-free connection with a variety of Tri-Clamp joints and full compliance with 3A regulations. The Company provides attractive prices on this sanitary hose adapter, which is optimal for the installation of a 1-inch fluid transferring system in small and medium-scale activities.
Product Overview
The 1-inch size is the least large rubber hose connector in the Eagle sanitary product range, which is made for low flow precision processes in which precise dosing, optimum product hold-up and good management of hoses are put above all else. It is the conventional choice for laboratory and pilot-scale sanitary production, small-scale pharmaceutical fabrication and particular product production processes where the volume of transfer is measured in litres rather than hectolitres. The smooth bevel seat is combined with the regular Tri-Clamp ferrule of 1 inch size making it possible to receive crevice-free seals and full CIP compatibility. The barbed hose termination is appropriated for the 1-inch rubber hose; the profile ensures good holding ability when using this lightweight less wide hose which is also characteristic of such applications. It is possible for a buyer to choose between 304 and 316 stainless steel so as to provide the customer with special material for cleaning chemistry and products.

Frequently Asked Questions
What flow rate can I expect from a 1-inch rubber hose adapter?
When operating at the recommended standard speed of 5 feet per second, a 1-inch sanitary line has a flow rate of around 12–14 gallons per minute. This allows for a suitable flow for applications in small-scale production, laboratory processes, pilot-scale systems, and precision dosing applications. However, actual flow will depend on the pressure of the system, the length of the hose, and viscosity of the material being delivered. In cases when a 50-litre batch is transferred at this flow rate, it will take around a minute for the transfer to be completed, with no effect on most small-scale operations.
How does the 1-inch rubber adapter differ from the 1-inch Tygon adapter?
The barb shape on each adapter is specific to the kind of hose being used in each case. The rubber adapter employs a barb shape that is suitable for rubber sanitary hoses, which have a heavy wall and different flexibility properties. The Tygon adapter employs a barb shape that favours the thin-walled and more flexible Tygon tubing. Both adapters are 1 inch in size and connect into a 1-inch Tri-clamp ferrule. However, they cannot be used interchangeably — always make sure you choose an adapter appropriate for the hose type used in each case, as incorrect fit can cause connection problems.
Is the 1-inch adapter suitable for CIP cleaning in place?
Yes. The 32Ra mirror polishing and crevice-free bevel seat design is designed to help eliminate product residuals using a standard cleaning in place (CIP) process. The adapter does not need to be taken out of the line for cleaning purposes. During CIP, the cleaning agents go through the adapter at the same speed as the whole system, agilely cleaning up the internals of the adapter. The 1 inch diameter allows providing needed flow velocity for efficient cleansing of most small-scale CIP setups provided the CIP pump can provide required flow in a 1-inch diameter pipe.
Can this adapter be used with a hose clamp, or does it rely on friction fit?
Whenever employing a rubber hose connection, as in the case of a hose with a diameter of 1 inch, we always recommend a stainless steel hose clamp. Rubber hose may hold well via friction alone when connected at low pressure, but hose clamps guarantee the hose connection remains in place during pressure changes, thermal cycles, or upon movement and usage. Therefore, simply place clamp behind the retention ridge on the barb’s shaft and make sure to tighten it up to the torque specified by the hose producer. In the 1-inch case, the typical approach is to use an ordinary worm-drive clamp of the appropriate size suitable for the hose´s outer dimensions.
