316L or 304 stainless steel alloy is used to produce the 45 degree Tri-Clamp elbow. When joining the ends together, a clamp adapter like heavy duty single pin clamp with either wing nut or bolting clamps and rubber gasket is recommended. Product Overview
The Eagle 45° Sanitary Tri-Clamp Elbow is a hygienic fitting that redirects the flow of fluid through 45 degrees while upholding the smooth and crevice-less interior requisite for sanitary service that is required. Made from seamless stainless steel of either grade 304 or 316L, the elbow has its internal surface finish of 32Ra that is electropolished and which resists adhesion of product and enables high-velocity turbulent flow which is required for proper cleaning using CIP. The ends bevelled for Tri-Clamp are made according to the specifications defined in 3-A Sanitary Standard 63-04 which ensures that the fittings are compatible with all components like clamps and gaskets that belong to the same nominal category. The configuration of the 45° elbow is what is widely used in sanitary piping design where it is necessary to divert the flow without causing sudden changes in the flow through reduced angles of 90 degrees or wherever it is necessary to drain through gravity.
