How to calculate the weight of the stainless steel tube?

How to calculate the weight of the stainless steel tube?
In many case, our customers may have needs for calculating the weight of stainless steel tubes. Like you may want to know the overall load to ensure that structures or systems remain within safe operational limits. Or you just want to figure out which transportation to go with and how much will it cost...Don't worry about the weight as it is easy to calculate.

Step 1: Determine the Dimensions:

OD x WT x ID

Measure the outside diameter (OD) and the wall thickness (WT) of the stainless steel tube, ensuring consistent units of measurement, such as millimeters (mm) or inches (in).

Step 2: Calculate the Cross-Sectional Area:

Use the formula A = π * [(OD/2)^2 - (OD/2 - WT)^2] to find the cross-sectional area (A) of the tube, where π is approximately 3.14159.

Step 3: Determine the Density:

Consider the average density of stainless steel, Grade 304 is around
7.93 g/cm³ while Grade 316 is about 7.98g/cm³.

Step 4: Calculate the Volume:

Multiply the cross-sectional area (A) by the length of the tube (L) to obtain the volume (V) of the tube: V = A * L.

Step 5: Calculate the Weight:

Multiply the volume (V) by the density of stainless steel to determine the weight (W) of the tube: W = V * Density.

Here we have already calculate the [Weight Kg/m] in each Tube's [Dimension]

Hope it would help.
